I am married to the best girl in the world Christy . She is the DJ for KOYN's FM's Morning show. I love that girl! I also love live funky Texas blues, old classic country music, classic rock "Maco" my dog (she's 19 years old), Ham radio, and the beach. We have three great kids. Payten, Rhett and Ruby Jack.
I guess I am kind of a geek because I do like elecetronics and ham radio. My Amateur Radio Callsign is KI5DX. I got into radio as a kid listening to shortwave..I got my ham license in the early 90's(no code tech) and then passed a 5wpm code test..I used to run alot of VHF and 10 meters. I did get out of radio for several years but in the later part of 2004 I bought a house and put up a couple of antennas and once again the Ham bug bit...I took the general test and passed in December 2004 . On June 25,2005 I passed the Extra class exam. I really enjoy HF. I still like to do some shortwave listening. s a matter of fact I listen now way more than I talk for somereason. I like to ragchew and chase DX on HF. There hasn't been much time for radio lately but I do get on when I can.
My family is the most important thing going right now. We are trying to raise the kids right, set a good example and have fun. Everything else is secondary.
